Maroons Travel Academy & Summer Select Tryout Details

Boys & Girls Travel Academy Team Tryouts for Fall 2024 & Spring 2025 Season

Our Fall 2024 / Spring 2025 travel academy team formation process requires participation in two identification sessions for new and existing players. These 60-minute training session will provide our coaches with additional data to aid in the selection process for next year’s rosters.

Both new and existing players must register via CommunityPass to be considered for a team next season.

  • All ID sessions will be conducted by our Directors of Coaching, Ben Manning & Rick Breheny, and MSC professional coaches
  • After the ID session, new players and select existing players may be invited to team training sessions to provide coaches with additional information
  • Team rosters will be formed and communicated by Friday, May 31
  • If you are unable to attend the ID session, please contact Rick Breheny (Boys) or Ben Manning (Girls) for an evaluation.


Tryout / ID Session #1: Saturday, April 27th @ SuperDome Sports (134 Hopper Ave, Waldwick, NJ)

  • Girls & boys born in 2016:  9am  
  • Girls & boys born in 2015:  10am  
  • Girls & boys born in 2014:  11am  
  • Girls & boys born in 2013:  12-pm  
  • Girls & boys born in 2012:  1pm  
  • Girls & boys born in 2011:  2pm  
  • Girls & boys born in 2010:  2pm  


Tryout / ID Session #2: 

  • Girls & boys born in 2016: May 10th, 4pm @ TBD Ridgewood Field 
  • Girls & boys born in 2015: May 10th, 5pm @ TBD Ridgewood Field 
  • Girls & boys born in 2014: May 10th, 6pm @ TBD Ridgewood Field  
  • Girls & boys born in 2013: May 17th, 4pm @ TBD Ridgewood Field 
  • Girls & boys born in 2012: May 17th, 5pm @ TBD Ridgewood Field 
  • Girls & boys born in 2011: May 17th, 6pm @ TBD Ridgewood Field
  • Girls & boys born in 2010: May 17th, 6pm @ TBD Ridgewood Field


All registration can be done via CommunityPass. If you live outside of Ridgewood, please choose any school during the signup process.

Boys & Girls Summer Select Team Tryouts for Summer 2024

Our Summer Select program returns this year, offering a fantastic opportunity for continued development during the summer months. Our Summer Select teams will train twice a week (10 sessions) and participate in two tournaments. Tryouts will be held Saturday, April 20th in Ridgewood, NJ. Both new and existing MSC players must register (via CommunityPass) for tryouts for this Summer’s team. 

  • The sessions will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting June 17th, concluding the week of July 28th
  • The program includes 10 training sessions and 2 tournaments
  • Tournaments available in the program are:
    • Mount Olive Cup – 2 Day – June 29/30th 
    • Greystone Cup – 2 Day – July 20/21st
    • VSA Summer Showdown – 1 Day – July, Boys 27th/Girls 28th.
  • Tryouts will be held on Sat, April 20th
  • Register via CommunityPass

No, existing u8 academy players do not need to register for tryouts. The fall u9 teams will be determined by our Foundation Phase Director, Rick Breheny, based on play throughout the course of the Fall & Spring u8 season.
